Our Consecrated life is a gift we affirm and value.
As vowed women who have freely chosen to live within community, we confirm our vocation by our commitment to prayer, ministries and the development of simple lifestyles. We seek to foster interdependence, valuing one another and the talents of each one.
Our vocation as Sisters of the Little Company of Mary challenges us to follow Jesus by imitating his mother Mary in her life of saying yes daily to God and to all God required of her. We take our inspiration from our founder Venerable Mary Potter, who responded to God’s call to reverence all Life and to birth to life God’s presence in the many sufferings and dyings of our world, in order to bring the hope of Resurrection to all. Thus we strive daily to enter into the suffering of all those we meet and all those we pray for throughout the world.
Our Associates and Affiliates join us in this commitment.
Our community life calls us to:
- respect one another in all situations;
- share common prayer each day, through the Eucharist and Liturgy of the Hours;
- make time for personal prayer each day and for regular spiritual reading;
- create opportunities for community integration and development;
- gather together regularly to celebrate life and significant memorials;
- practise accountability to one another and for all the natural resources at our disposal.
SPIRITUALITY TEAM.
Our Spirituality Team consists of one New Zealand Sister, one Tongan Sister and an Associate. The Team meets intermittently to plan, implement and disseminate ways of integrating our Marian spirituality into all aspects of our daily lives.

One thing is certain. Our gifts, our capacity to love, our willingness to be for others, have been given us to make a difference in this world. It is up to each one of us, how we use the gifts and talents given.
